"
I tried to get this information from the Town Charter Review Committee Chair but after two unanswered emails I gave up. I answered all Historical Commission emails as Chair so I don't understand not responding to people.

Unfortunately, now I have to add more to your already heavy workload.

Under the Freedom of Information Act and/or the Massachusetts Public Records Law, can you please provide me with the following information:

It says in the Final Report, dated May 31, 2017, presented by the Town Charter Review Committee -- on Page  24, second paragraph, "due to resident input, the learning curve for the position and the fact that running for election every year can be a distraction from actually performing the position's responsibilities, the committee recommends that the town moderator's term be changed from one (1) year to three (3) years."

Besides the town moderator himself, how many other residents either wrote to the Town Charter Review Committee, mentioned this in the on-line survey or attended a meeting and asked for this change to the Town Charter?

I will start there.

Thank you very much,

Julie Nardone"

Cindy, thank you for the information.

I would like to have this response added to the public record as well.

Some things seem to have been twisted around to make me look like the one with the problem, which is unfortunate.

Please, I am the one who did not get my emails answered and, subsequently, submitted my request via the Public Information Request system.

At no time have I said there is something wrong with my AOL (formerly Verizon) account and that was the reason she wasn't getting the emails.

Ironically, someone living in the same household as the chair gets my emails and I get his.

At one point, when I was kindly working with her to figure out why she wasn't getting the emails, I said Verizon made me change to AOL in April (the 9th to be exact) and maybe there was an interface issue.

The Chair said she got emails from me after May, which was the last time I sent them from this account until mid-july.

Clearly, it wasn't then AOL or she wouldn't have gotten the May emails.

She requested that I forward emails to her but I didn't because that AOL email didn't seem to reach her.

Instead, I sent a screen dump of that AOL email from my gmail account that she indicated she was receiving emails from.

Who knows why she did not get my AOL emails in July?

All I can tell you is that everyone else is getting emails from this AOL/former Verizon account.

Thank you for adding this to the public record for clarification,

Julie Nardone
