Email from Julie Nardone 8/1/2017
I tried to get this information from the Town Charter Review Committee Chair but after two unanswered emails I gave up. I answered all Historical Commission emails as Chair so I don't understand not responding to people.
Unfortunately, now I have to add more to your already heavy workload.
Under the Freedom of Information Act and/or the Massachusetts Public Records Law, can you please provide me with the following information:
It says in the Final Report, dated May 31, 2017, presented by the Town Charter Review Committee -- on Page 24, second paragraph, "due to resident input, the learning curve for the position and the fact that running for election every year can be a distraction from actually performing the position's responsibilities, the committee recommends that the town moderator's term be changed from one (1) year to three (3) years."
Besides the town moderator himself, how many other residents either wrote to the Town Charter Review Committee, mentioned this in the on-line survey or attended a meeting and asked for this change to the Town Charter?
I will start there.
Thank you very much,
