This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records:
2010-2016 Town Election Results (broken down by precincts): I am specifically seeking election results for selectman and school committee.
2010-2017 Campaign Finance Reports (for everyone who ran for selectman and school committee): To elaborate, if three individuals ran for selectman in 2010, I would like to have all of their campaign finance reports. I am not sure what type of campaign finance report I should be requesting, but ultimately I would like to see candidates' fundraising/receipts throughout their campaign run. If the campaign finance reports are all up-to-date on the website, please let me know.
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request. Is there any chance you provide me a quote (if any) for the election results and campaign finance reports separately?
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
